Praise for the Sponsors, Celebrity Entertainers and Donors of auction prizes at the Friends of the Flying Doctor Dinner 2016

‘The more than £110,000 raised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia would not have been possible without the generous support of the Sponsors and Donors of auction prizes at the Friends of the Flying Doctor Dinner 2016’, Chairman of the RFDS-UK, Peter Box said.

Gold sponsors Virgin Australia and Moss Wood again provided sponsorship of the Dinner and also contributed high value auction prizes that raised substantial funds for the RFDS in Australia.

Virgin Australia also supported the Friends of the Flying Doctor Dinner 2016 by flying our celebrity artist, Rhonda Burchmore from Australia to London to provide the feature performance at the Dinner. Generous contributor, Jumeirah Carlton Tower provided top quality accommodation for Rhonda and also provided an auction prize of a weekend luxury stay at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

Moss Wood premium wines from the world renowned Margaret River wine region were served throughout the Dinner and Moss Wood also provided a rare magnum of Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 plus a tutored wine tasting of Moss Wood wines for 12 people as an auction prize which raised substantial funds for the RFDS in Australia.

Felix&Friends were once again very proud to be involved with the Royal Flying Doctor Service – Friends in the UK 2016 Gala Dinner. Felix&Friends worked closely with the charity’s Board of Trustees to deliver all creative facets of the event held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Knightsbridge. They devised the theme to celebrate each of the 1,225 people within the service as the stars of the night. Felix&Friends designed a Royal Flying Doctor aeroplane constellation based upon the planes operating the much needed service.

This is the second time Felix&Friends have delivered the creative theme and collateral for the event for the RFDS – Friends in the UK after the success of the 2014 event.

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia was a highly valued Silver sponsor for the Dinner as part of its commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of people, businesses and communities.

The Trustees of the Royal Flying Doctor Service – Friends in the UK expressed their heartfelt thanks to both Rhonda Burchmore and Adam Hills who each provided wonderful entertainment for Dinner guests.
